Jockeys are brave and horses too.  This shows you a sequence of events with a fall at Fakenham 7 May 2019 in a Handicap Steeplechase.  Champion Jockey Richard Johnson riding Achill Road Boy trained by Stuart Colthill came all the way from Selkirk to run in the Snellings Norfolk National with some fairly decent prize money and looked to nearly have it in the bag until he hit the last fence and to say he was understandably not best pleased was the proverbial understatement.  However, he got up and walked away and the horse took a fairly crashing fall and he got up too.  All in a day’s work.  Ciaran Gethings won the race on Hepijeu trained by Stuart Edmunds.  Not something Richard Johnson would want to be reminded of.- but that’s racing!
