Enjoyed a morning with the East Lincs Bassets – great characters. I arrived at the kennels; it is such a small world – I thought I recognised a young man, it was indeed Jacob Whalley, new professional whipper in to the South Wold Foxhounds – and I wish him well. Along with all those that work and look after hounds’ – it is indeed a way of life. Thanks to the Masters and Hunt Secretary of the Bassets for a very enjoyable morning looking at hounds – good luck at Peterborough. See you there!
