Few jumpers here, (show jumpers) not cardigans – but they might as well have been wearing them. The horses look so uniform; these jumping bred horses today. I thought the riders could have done with a uniform. Where have all the standards gone now? – it was Royal Norfolk! Call me old fashioned, but in the days of David Broome, Harvey Smith, Eddie Macken and Paul Schockemohle to name just a few, the riders looked so smart in their jackets. Then those crackin’ scurry driving ponies – they are just great to watch. The lady above in her “green livery” – even had earrings to match!
